A completely different look in verbenas, this tender perennial (zones 7 - 11)l carries 2–3" clusters of pinkish purple blooms on wiry, self-supporting stems and sparse, dark green leaves. They can be put at the front of a border without blocking the plants behind. Even mature gardens can accommodate this upright, narrow plant, which can grow 3-6’ tall and about half as wide. Blooms June – September. Plant in full sun or light shade in moist, well-draining soil. Wonderful as a cut flower and a favorite of Monarch and other butterflies. Deer and rabbit resistant.
