-A tough little plant originally from South Africa, it produces unique, tear-dropped shaped bulbs that form above the ground. The look like little purple bladders and can store moisture in times of drought. The plant grows to be 6-10” tall with rosettes formed from foliage out of the bulbs. In summer, pink stems appear producing small, greenish flowers. Requires little water when established and thrives in bright, indirect light.
NOTE: All parts of the plant are considered poisonous.
