sold by 1 gallon- chasmanthium latifolium A perennial ornamental grass with interesting flat foliage and unique, dangling seed heads. The grass is dark green, loosely tufted and forms a clump. Its real attraction is the flower’s seed head which is wide, flat and whose texture resembles dangling, wheat heads. Often used in cut flower arrangements, the seed heads appear in summer and last for three seasons. The seed heads start out a medium green turning a light tan color and then a rich bronze come fall. Self-sowing and fast spreading. Plant in full or part sun. Can tolerate a range of soil conditions so long as well draining.
