The inch long petals have yellow, 3-toothed tips and dark red bases. These surround disk flowers the same color as the base of the petals. The leaves and plant are covered with fuzzy hairs. Thrives in full sun in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils. Heat and drought tolerant, requiring little care. Attracts birds, bees and other pollinators.
