Stuyt Jalapeno Cheese
Sold by 5-6oz wedge. Our cheese is best described a Dutch cheese which is handmade from our farm's raw cow milk. Stuyt cheese has aged a minimum of 60 days; yet preferred 90 days for the best flavor. Aside from the traditional mild flavor Stuyt Dairy Farmstead Cheese also offers several additional flavors. JALAPENO The jalapeno has a sharper peppery profile with a distinct jalapeno aftertaste. This cheese melts well on a quesadilla or in macaroni and cheese. The touch of jalapeno heat calls for a wine with a touch of sweetness or ripe fruit. A white such as a California or Washington State semi-sweet Riesling or Gewurztraminer will stand up to its zing. For a red look too ripe Zinfandels from Lodi or Paso Robles with ample berry and spice.
